Garmin Forerunner 945 LTE Specifications and Features – The Forerunner 945 LTE is a fitness-focused premium GPS smartwatch with LTE capabilities. Mind you, the LTE status doesn’t make it a full-fledged standalone smartwatch. Forerunner 945 LTE can’t make calls, you can’t send text messages, and you can’t stream Spotify playlists independently. It is rather a safety tracking smartwatch that allows for live event sharing, spectator messaging, location tracking, and assistance. In other words, Forerunner 945 LTE will automatically send your location to Garmin IERCC to allow you to get needed help promptly (This require subscription). It will also allow you to share your location with your family and friends. Moreover, family members can also send you a message and audio. Beyond the LTE capabilities of Forerunner 945 LTE, it’s durably built, has a long battery life, features music storage and streaming, and is well loaded with lots of fitness tracking features.

Garmin Forerunner 945 LTE is a durably built smartwatch, it comes with a fiber-reinforced polymer case with Corning Gorilla Glass covering the display. The straps made of silicone are interchangeable with 22mm compatible straps. It’s quite compact at 44mm but unfortunately thick at 13.9mm. However, it’s a very lightweight smartwatch at 49 grams. It’s available in two colors; black and white. And has a waterproof rating of 5ATM which represents 50meters, this means that you can wear this watch to the pool or ocean.

It also features advanced metrics like training effects, VO2 max, recovery time, training load, and the iconic PacePro.
It comes with an inbuilt GPS that enables outdoor activity tracking. It’s a premium GPS smartwatch and as such it features in-depth tools that can help you get the best outdoor activity adventure. It also features a full-color map that can help you find your best routes as well as the turn-by-turn navigation that alerts beforehand of the next turn. Also present on the Forerunner 945 LTE is the ability to monitor blood oxygen (SpO2), menstrual cycle tracking for women and there are lots of preloaded sport modes to choose from.

Forerunner 945 LTE comes with an onboard music storage capacity that can take up to 1000 tracks. You can sync and download your favorite playlists from Spotify, Deezer, and Amazon music. It supports Garmin pay which allows you to make payment directly from this watch. You can also manage notifications with the Forerunner 945 LTE. It will allow you receive SMS, calls, and app notifications. You can reply to messages but only with Android.
