What’s the Difference?
Basically, the 42mm and 46mm units have the same activity tracking features, but the design and battery life differ.
Each of these two looks very elegant, stylish, and compact. Under the hood, both are equipped with a couple of sensors that enable step counting, sedentary reminder, calorie counting, sleep tracking, stress and heart rate tracking. Both watches also have an inbuilt GPS that enables tracking for outdoor activities such as locations, pace, and routes.
Another interesting thing about the Magic 2 is that, unlike the Honor Watch Magic, both the 42mm and 46mm units come with a 4GB storage capacity that allows for onboard music storage.
And when your phone is nearby, you get alerted when you receive a message and you can reply with preset quick replies.
However, there are slight differences between the 42mm and 46mm units of the Honor Watch Magic 2.
- The 42mm unit has a 3D glass design compared to the 2D glass of the 46mm unit. As a result, the 42mm unit has a somewhat geeky appearance compared to the classic appearance of the 46mm unit.
- The 46mm unit has a stainless steel bezel compared to the 42mm unit which has a bezeless design, thanks to the curved edges of the 3D glass.
- The 46mm unit has a bigger case size than the 42mm unit, as a result, it has a bigger display size.
- Furthermore, the 46mm unit is equipped with a microphone and speaker that enables you to make and receive calls directly from the watch when your phone is nearby.
- The battery life also differs, while the 46mm unit has up to two weeks of battery life, the 42mm unit has about 7 days of battery life.
In summary, the 46mm unit of the Honor Watch Magic 2 has a better design and more features than the 42mm unit. With the 46mm unit, you get to see more at a glance. You can also make and receive calls, and the battery life is longer.
On the other hand, the 42mm unit is cheaper. So, if you have a tight budget, you might want to go with the 42mm unit.
