Fitbit Charge 4 Specifications and prices

Summary

In summary, both the Inspire 2 and Charge 4 do about the same thing which is to help you stay fit and as well help you manage notifications you receive from your phone. Each of these two will track your heart rate, sleep in four stages, calories and steps. You will also get the option of choosing from 20 preset sport modes on both smartbands. And you can choose apps to receive notifications from. Both devices also have long battery life.

However,

  1. Charge 4 has a slightly bigger display than Inspire 2, yet very compact and lightweight.
  2. Charge 4 has inbuilt GPS that allows you to track your outdoor activities without having to carry your phone along. Unlike Inspire 2 which will also allow you to track outdoor activities like your route and location, but you must carry your phone along with you.
  3. Charge 4 will track your SpO2 level and display the result via any of Fitbit’s SpO2 watch faces, Inspire 2 lacks SpO2 monitoring.
  4. Charge 4 has an altimeter that enables it to count floors climbed which Inspire 2 lacks.
  5. There’s an NFC chip in Charge 4 which will allow you to access Fitbit Pay and make payment with your card directly from the Charge 4. Inspire 2 lacks this feature.
  6. Charge 4 can control Spotify playlist which isn’t possible with Inspire 2.
  7. Charge 4 has a “Do Not Disturb” mode which Inspire 2 lacks. This will allow you to mute notifications during the time of sleep or otherwise.

On the other hand’

  1. Inspire 2 has a longer battery life of up to 10 days compared to 7 days with Charge 4.
  2. Inspire 2 is also cheaper, yet a nice fitness tracker that can help you stay fit.

Final Words

Fitbit Charge 4 is a more complete device than Inspire 2, it gives you access to more features. On the other hand, Inspire 2 is cheaper and is a decent solution if you’re just interested in the basics and do mostly indoor workouts.
